A fun game I play in my spare time is to try to get celebrities to interact with me on twitter. I’ve had some pretty strong gets over the years, so without further ado, I present my Twitter Celeb Hall of Fame!
Folk legend David Crosby!

The journey continues..

Comedian and noted hodgepodge Colin Quinn!

Too bad I didn’t get to meet the Colin Quinn Dancers!
I’ve had a few interactions with comedian and living legend Norm Macdonald, but they require some context.
In my first interaction, I was still using my electronic music handle “Maximal” as my twitter name, so he refers to me as “Max”..

No one ever mentions “impressing celebrities on twitter” when extolling the virtues of getting a masters degree in philosophy, but here we are! He briefly followed me on twitter after this interaction, but alas it was only for a brief moment. Oh why must the transitory nature of human existence permeate every aspect of it, even twitter? Oh the gods do have a sense of humour!

Finally, I got a nice retweet by slamming someone he was locked in a dispute with.

Ah deadmau5, my white whale (or should I say..ugh..never mind)! Took me a while to get him to interact with me – he mostly responds to people who insult him – but I now have a bunch of interactions!

Here he made a reference to people throwing things at him, and people began peppering him with questions about his views on specific items. He directly interacted with a lot of questions, so I saw my moment to strike! Playing off his very public preference for coffee, I knew he wouldn’t resist the urge to respond!

Legendary broadcaster and interviewer Nardwuar from Vancouver British Columbia Canada was nice enough to help me look for a Canadian onesie. A true honour! His courage, passion, and unwavering dedication to his craft should stand as an inspiration to us all!

Legendary electro house DJ Boys Noize is great for fan interactions, so I’ve had many cool interactions with him over the years.

As a huge Howard Stern fan since 2009, it was an absolute thrill to get to chat with the venerable Artie Lange. Wishing him nothing but the best, always loved his honesty and courage!

Former Toronto Raptors stalwart Amir Johnson agreed to follow me. Hope to see you back in red someday in the future!

I got into a debate with Hollywood film director Max Landis! Won’t post the whole thing because it went on for a while, but we ended up making peace in the end so I’ll post the happy conclusion!

Hey look it’s Anthony Fantano! Really respect his music reviews – he elevates the art form with his insightful and entertaining analysis.

Energetic DJ Tommy Trash!

Derrick Acosta, one third of the internet comedy troupe Mega64! Been supporting these guys since 2005, and Derrick in particular has had a huge influence on my sense of comedy, so this was pretty cool!
